Good Morning !!
Rise and shine, it is brand new day and i hope you will have lovely day today :)
To start your day good, i want to share a bright and cheerful card with you today.
I am starting to interested on ink blending after my trial on creating night sky on yesterday's card. Dah! this technique been so long around in crafter industry but i only interested on it now :P.
I decided to jump in because i have a lot of unused large size distress ink pads, some even has spare because i bought them while there is a sale.
For today's card, i am featuring 30-145 Sweet as honey stamp set from Penny Black. It was released on 2012 and since it is so unique, i decided to bought it on the year of release but somehow I only start using it now. Maybe still waiting for inspiration ^_^.
Above is the picture of the stamp set.
And here is the close up of the card.
I stamped the bee on frame and 2 roses on the 300gsm watercolor paper and white embossed it use Hero arts embossing powder.
Before i fussy cut the three images, i colored it with Winsor and Newton watercolors.
For the background, i blend some distress inkpads as follow from dark to light : rusty hinge, fozzilized amber, Yellow mustard, squeeze lemonade.
I also did play with some stencils to add some interest effect behind the bee frame. I was expecting the result will be white color but because of the color pigment from distress ink , the stencil absorb the color a little bit and now become a pale orange :). Luckily i am ok with it :)
And here is the inside card .
I cut watercolor paper used mama elephant dies and distress ink with bundle sage and twisted citron.
I hope you like this card.
