The Greeting Farm : Alter Alpha

08:00 0 Comments
Morning!

Just a quick post today.
\
Today i created another alter alpha for my friend order. I still have 2 more to go and those will be guy theme so i have to sit down and do some coloring ^_^.
Anyway today alter is slightly use similar items.

The alpha from Kaiser Craft which i purchase from Spotlight.
I used prima marketing pattern paper to cover the alpha and apply the edges with white acrylic paint.

For the flowers, i used from various brand. Mapletreehouse (Green), WOC (purple) and Prima Marketing (Light blue).
There are 3 layers of laces i used here if you look closely.
The black sticker alphas from local scrapbook shop PaperMarket.

And here is the close up from this cute TGF stamp . I stamped it on the drawing paper and color it with prismacolor pencils.

I hope you like it :)

The Greeting Farm : Alter Alpha

13:11 2 Comments
Good Afternoon,

Finally i have a new project to share with you.
My ex colleague asked me to alter her colleague initials to give her as a present, since i lost my mojo and the wooden alphas was out of stock in spotlight so i take my time to take a break and cleaning up my room. I am so grateful that she did not chase me during my idle time :).
So now my craft room is fairly neat, it is time to make a mess again and i decided to continue complete my outstanding orders and here is one of it.

I painted Kaiser craft wooden Alpha use white acrylic paint as a based.  Then i trace the alpha on the basic grey pattern paper and cut it out. Stick the pattern paper on it and sand the edges to remove the excess.
I layered several pretty lace that match with the theme i wanted to create.
For her colleague name, I used thickers from american craft. Since her colleague name is very long, i decided to overlap each of the circle instead of side by side directly.

I added some Prima rose flowers (blue) and 2 green flowers which i bought from local scrapbook store mapletreehouse. I also added Kaiser pearls around the flowers.

For the main feature , i used Greeting farm stamp and colored it use prismacolor pencils.
Fussy cut and stick it on the top right of the alpha

I hope you like this simple project.

Flourishes and Mama Elephant : Many Happy Thoughts are coming your way

08:00 0 Comments

Morning Morning... Happy Sunday everyone..
It is the day where we should Rejoice in House of God..^_^
But before i am heading to His House, i would like to share this card. I really hope this card will brighten your day, especially for those who feeling low and sick.

You might think i am in High mood lately, but actually i was not. I am in low mood but Thanks God i still can go on with my life and surrounded by wonderful people that strengthen me by their care and support. ^_^
I also thanks God for i still be able to create cards to brighten myself and perhaps whoever that read or see my cards via social media.
This is one of the reasons why i choose bright colors for my recent cards :)

So back to the card.
No more stencils and start to do basic blending for this card.

Let's start from the background first, here are the colors i used to make this card from bottom to top.
For the grass i used peeled paint and shabby shutter.
For the background : Walnut stain, Peeled Paint,Shabby shutter and tumbled glass. I also did spray with water to create "splotchy" effect.

For the main image, i used sunflowers from Flourishes stamp. I stamped it on 300gsm watercolor paper and clear embossed it. I colored the main image with distressed ink pads and fussy cut it. Yes i fussy cut all the images, very hard working right? :)
I arrange the flower and stick it with foam tape following with stick the grass shape on the bottom part of the card. Added a cluster of flat back pearls which i purchase from carousell seller :)
Lastly, i stamped the sentiment and  flick some white paint on the card.

I also stamped a boy and a girl image from Mama Elephant Carried Away stamp set. I was not stamping it well because that is the tricky part of stamping on watercolor paper. Meanwhile i am waiting for my mini misti to arrive at my doorstep i would just bear with it :P. I colored with tombow dual brush pen and fussy cut it. :)

And here is the inside card..

Hope you like it..have a blessed day everyone!!!

Lawn Fawn : Mom I love You

08:00 3 Comments
Morning!!

On Thursday afternoon i decided i post a card which supposedly for saturday because i really want to apply Paper Smooches GDT. Anyway i did not succeed.
So i think that is it , no more cards to share on saturday and sunday, but surprise! i have not only one but two cards to share today and tomorrow :). yay!!

I found that it is such a fun interesting process of making card when i could mix and match different stamp brands into one card. It is also give me a sense of "i have used that stamp sets" feeling. Looking at myself who is a hoarder at stamps, i feel so satisfied :)

Back to card, i created a background use a stencil and distress inkpads. You can use any pattern of stencils but i would recommend not to "busy" pattern such as large flowers because it will draw away your attention to the main image which is the mommy and baby owl :).

Here is the color i used to create the background from top to bottom :
picked raspberry, spiced marmalade, mustard seed and twisted citron.

For the main image i used mom and me lawn fawn stamp set and mama elephant charmed for the wreath and banner. All images stamped on 300gsm watercolor paper and colored it with distress markers and tombow dual brush pen.

i decorate another part of the card with big heart shape from simon says stamp.

And here is the inside card , keep it simple but cute :)

Here are the two stamp sets i used for today's card :)

Tiddly Inks : Happy Birthday

14:00 1 Comments
TGIF everyone...
Today i am back with another Tiddly ink card in Tiddly ink blog and featuring  seahorse serenade.

This stamp was supposedly comes in kissing position but i since i want to make birthday card so i "separate" them :P.

For the seahorses i colored them with copic markers. The pink seahorse did not turn out well because i don't have copic markers which the color close enough to one and another.

For the background i am using stencil with water droplets design, i am not sure what is the stencil brand.

I used distress ink pads to create the background. Here is the list of the ink pads i used from left to right :
Picked raspberry, spun sugar, Cracked pistachio, and evergreen bough.

I also cut 3 small baloon shape use MFT dies on watercolor paper and blend it with spun sugar, cracked pistachio and evergreen bough.

And here is the inside card. The small seahorses from Sweet stamp shop set which given by my lovely friend,Sally. thank you so much sally :)

Hope you like what i made today :)

Morning..

Today is my second post of the day. I wanted to post this on Saturday but when i see Paper smooches looking for a guest designer, why not give it a try. I only have 2 hours to submit....ahhhhh....^_^

Today card was inspired by one of my friend who kindly enough purchased a get well soon card from me for her friend who are hospitalize. This remind me that i might need to create more get well soon card because it will come handy especially this few days with this current weather (hot and rain always).
Anyway back to the card,  I always think sunflower when it comes get well soon card. Something bright, fun  and maybe a little cute image will always be part of the card. That is why today, i decided to choose yellow and green color combos.

Lets start from bottom to top design.

For the background i used TCW stencils Mini ring doilies. I used distress ink pads to create the fun and bright background. Here is the color i used squeeze lemonade, yellow mustard,  spice marmalade, rusty hinge and cracked pistachio.

For some of the main images, I used Chubby Chums (cat) and Word Ups (hello), both stamp from paper smooches.
I stamped them on the 300gsm watercolor and colored them with distress inkpads as follow :
squeeze lemonade, yellow mustard,  spice marmalade, rusty hinge and pink raspberry.

I also stamped flourishes sunflower stamps on the 300gsm watercolor cardstock and clear embossed it. Before i fussy cut the image, i did colored the flowers with combination of distress inks and tombow dual brush pen.

And as always, i love to deco the inside card :).

Here is the adorable stamp set i used for today's card. At first, It was hard to choose which animals i should picked because all so adorable :)

I just realized that everyday in this week i have something to update in this  blog.
I think i really want to craft as much as i could before June. June will be a busy period for me so i might not be able to post often as usual, besides i have been shopping a lot of stuffs on April and May and this encourage me to keep making cards :)

i am still crazy playing with stencils and distress ink pads...hahaha I really want to make use my ink pads before it dries without i know it.
For the background, i used echo park stencils balloon shapes and ink it lightly on watercolor paper with distress ink spun sugar and cracked pistachio.

For the main image, i used Mama Elephant Charmed  stamp and its coordinating dies.
I colored the whole images with Tombow markers.

The full stamp set as follow :

Really lovely set, thought not many critter images on it but still i can't resist how lovely the owl is the those intricate bow and wreath. I think this stamp set is a great to have and can be combined with many other stamp :).

It is another brand new day and we are in the mid of week so those who feeling low and tired, hang on!! ^_^

Today i have a slightly different card , no image to color instead i playing with this adorable marianne dies called Eline's deer. I bought it from Buddly crafts. This shop is amazing, they ship items very fast at a very affordable price. I really love this shop and i just placed my second order with them :P.
I am getting more marianne animal shape dies. It is really fun to play with. Try it!

Here is the close up of the deers.
For the background, i played with distress inkpads and MFT herringbone stencils

Here is the color i used from left to right :
Ripe persimmon, Dried Marigold, Spiced marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted citron and Evergreen Bough.
For the tall grass, i used Magnolia dies and colored it with Twisted citron and bundle sage.

Penny Black : Bee-tiful friend, You are so sweet

08:29 1 Comments

Good Morning !!

Rise and shine, it is brand new day and i hope you will have lovely day today :)
To start your day good, i want to share a bright and cheerful card with you today.

I am starting to interested on ink blending after my trial on creating night sky on yesterday's card. Dah! this technique been so long around in crafter industry but i only interested on it now :P.
I decided to jump in because i have a lot of unused large size distress ink pads, some even has spare because i bought them while there is a sale.

For today's card, i am featuring 30-145 Sweet as honey stamp set from Penny Black. It was released on 2012 and since it is so unique, i decided to bought it on the year of release but somehow I only start using it now. Maybe still waiting for inspiration ^_^.
Above is the picture of the stamp set.

And here is the close up of the card.
I stamped the bee on frame and 2 roses on the 300gsm watercolor paper and white embossed it use Hero arts embossing powder.
Before i fussy cut the three images, i colored it with Winsor and Newton watercolors.

For the background, i blend some distress inkpads as follow from dark to light : rusty hinge, fozzilized amber, Yellow mustard, squeeze lemonade.

I also did play with some stencils to add some interest effect behind the bee frame. I was expecting the result will be white color but because of the color pigment from distress ink , the stencil absorb the color a little bit and now become a pale orange :). Luckily i am ok with it :)

And here is the inside card .
I cut watercolor paper used mama elephant dies and distress ink with bundle sage and twisted citron.

I hope you like this card.
